Pitso Mosimane (born 26 July 1964) is an ex-football player and a professional South African football coach.

Pitso John Hamilton Mosimane was born on the 26th of July, 1964 in Kagiso, Gauteng, South Africa. Little is known about his childhood days.
Career (Professional Football Player)
His football career started with a Soweto amateur football team called Rockville Hungry Lions before Mosimane joined Jomo Cosmos to begin his senior career. His stint at Jomo Cosmos saw Mosimane having 27 appearances and 7 goals.
Throughout his career as a football player, Pitso played the Midfielder position.
Between 1993 to 1994, he played for the South African National football team, Bafana Bafana where he made 4 appearances and scored just 1 goal.
He retired in 1996 with Al Sadd SC, a Qatari-based football club.

Career (Professional Football Manager)
After his successful career as a professional football player, Pitso Mosimane ventured into coaching as it is common with football players who wish to still be close to the game they love so much. He started with the Belgian U-11 side of KFC Rita Berlaar as an assistant coach. Mosimane later returned to SA, to coach the Mamelodi Sundowns reserves.
He later had a stint with Supersport United and then also severed as the caretaker coach of the South African national football team,Β Bafana BafanaΒ for seven (7) games in 2007.
In September 2020, he became the head coach of Al Ahly and thus, one of the highest-paid South African coaches in the world. As of March 2022, he is still the head coach of the Egyptian football club.
