Babalwa Mneno (born 12 November 1977) is a South African born model, TV personality, and event planner who rose to fame after becoming the first runner-up in the 1996 edition of Miss South Africa Beauty Pagent.

Babalwa Mneno, a.k.a Barbz, was born on 12th November 1977 in King Williams Town in the eastern part of South Africa. There is no available information on her parent, but she always acknowledged her mother, who she said raised her with good manners and also contributed to her disciplined character. Babalwa Mneno said growing up was hard for her as her parents didn’t have enough to provide for her basic needs. Mneno spent the majority of her youthful years in her hometown of King Williams and even gained primary education in her hometown of King William.
Career
Babalwa Mneno is a former contestant of the Big Brother Africa show, in which she participated in the 7th edition. She has also modeled at The South African Fashion Week, The CPT Fashion Week, and a lot of other fashion shows around the world. Mneno has modeled within and outside Africa and was a one-time CEO of Sundowns Chikitas. Mneno was among the eight contestants that competed in the SAB2 Reality Show ” Strictly Come Dancing” in 2006. She was also part of the docu-reality TV series “Reality Check” in 2013.
